Account Manager | And That’s Strategy LLC | Organic Social Media -- Broadway & Live Entertainment
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Reports to: Operations & Account Leadership
Salary: $26-31/hour, commensurate with experience + benefits (Health Insurance, Sick Days, Professional Dev)
The Win
Every account you lead has a strategy the client trusts, a team that knows exactly what matters this week, and work that grows the show’s audience and moves tickets—delivered on brand, on time, and without surprises.
Your creative vision shapes the online presence of Broadway shows. You’re the strategist, producer, and final decision-maker who turns fan passion into community, and community into movement.
The Role
STRATEGY & CLIENT LEADERSHIP
- Own the client and the strategy. Be the trusted lead for producers, marketing directors, and partners; build the account strategy and package it into a story the client buys into. Serve as the primary point of contact, strategist, and final decision-maker for all account matters.
- Serve as a client-facing leader, ensuring account health, proactive communication, and alignment with client goals. Manage all account deliverables, usage rights, agreements, and close-outs cleanly.
- Contribute to strategic partnerships both for the accounts you manage and the broader organization.
CONTENT IDEATION & CREATIVE DIRECTION
- Ideate, direct, and execute social-first content—particularly short-form video and photography—across backstage moments, offstage events, cast shoots, and in-person fan activations.
- Set creative direction on content types and storytelling approaches. Hold the final word on quality—make the call on content and creative decisions, and approve everything before it reaches the client.
- Stay plugged into social trends and adapt them smartly and authentically to fit each show’s voice and goals across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
COMMUNITY & FAN ENGAGEMENT
- Be a champion of the fan community—engage with audiences meaningfully, understand what makes them tick, and help shape content and strategy that puts them at the center.
- Genuine enthusiasm for engaging with fans and building vibrant, authentic communities online. Fan-forward in your approach—eager to nurture community around each production.
PRODUCTION & ON-SITE EXECUTION
- Lead on-site content capture and production at events, rehearsals, performances, and activations. Own and manage day-to-day organic social media accounts for Broadway clients, from content planning through posting and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with content creators, editors, and internal team members to meet tight deadlines with excellence. Keep the engine running—drive the content calendar aligned to strategy.
- Manage production workflows end-to-end, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks between the team and the client.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
- Lead and manage a team of community managers, assistants, and designers on your accounts. Set priorities, balance workloads, run brainstorms and working meetings, and delegate to (and grow) the Associate Account Manager and team members.
- A leader who delegates—sees the whole board, gives clear direction, and develops the people below instead of doing it all yourself.
The Profile | The person most likely to succeed in this role
- Speaks Broadway and speaks business. Understands how producers think, how shows sell, and how fandom is built—and can connect creative ideas to box office outcomes. Deep knowledge of and genuine passion for Broadway, theater, and live entertainment.
- A platform native with proven expertise. Deep understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and content trends. 3–5+ years of experience in social media content creation, production, or account management in live entertainment or theater.
- A confident strategist and presenter. Comfortable in the room with senior clients; can turn a big idea into a clear, persuasive plan. Experience with client services and management. Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Decisive, with taste. Makes the final call without stalling, protects the work’s quality, and can say “not yet” or “not this” kindly and clearly. Proven ability to generate creative ideas and see them through production to publication.
- Calm at the speed of culture. Thrives when timelines are tight and the conversation moves fast; keeps multiple accounts, deadlines, and stakeholders steady. Comfortable working independently and owning large pieces of work. Experience working in a fast-paced, nimble environment is highly preferred.
- A leader who delegates. Sees the whole board, gives clear direction, and develops the people below them instead of doing it all themselves. Excellent leadership skills.
- Relationship-driven and contract-aware. Builds strong partner and creator relationships while keeping deliverables, usage rights, and agreements buttoned up.
- Organized to the finish line. Calendars, approvals, and close-outs don’t slip—nothing falls through the cracks between the team and the client.
Location & Schedule
This position is hybrid, with regular weekly in-person responsibilities such as events, shoots, and client meetings. Candidates must be based in New York City. Most meetings are conducted online, with mostly standard business hours 9–5 M–F. Occasional evening or weekend events based on show schedules or content opportunities.
This is a full-time position with benefits including professional development support and a structured benefits package from day one.
