Overview
kevin daly Architects (kdA) is a Los Angeles design practice known for public and institutional buildings that bring award-winning contemporary design into everyday life. Our work spans civic, institutional, housing (affordable and residential), and workplace projects, including mass timber, with active work in California, New York, Texas, Arkansas and New England. Our studio has substantial shop facilities, and model-making is central to how we design. It drives our focus on craft, construction systems and material research, and on the relationships between research and fabrication, material and form, and sustainability and livability. We're looking for people who share that perspective: curious, articulate, and as interested in history, typology and the formal characteristics of architecture as in the practical work of developing and documenting buildings.
What you'll do
- Work with teams to develop the construction logic for projects from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration
- Build and coordinate physical and digital models and mock-ups as working design tools
- Coordinate with consultants, clients and agencies, and help run project teams (Project Architect level)
- Produce clear, concise and well-organized construction documentation in Revit
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture
- 3–7 years of professional experience; licensure or progress toward it a plus for the Project Architect level
- Strong design and documentation skills; Revit proficiency required (all projects are documented in Revit)
- A portfolio, academic and professional, that demonstrates design excellence
- Authorization to work in the United States
Benefits: We offer a full benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
