Overview
Junior Architectural Designer with 1-4 years experience wanted for a growing design and research firm located in the upper Hudson Valley. Hybrid schedule possible, but at least 3 days a week in the office is preferred. Projects on the board include: large scale hospitality, arts institutions, affordable housing, residential work, and unique research. Lots of opportunity for learning, growth, and advancement. Key Responsibilities
- Work at the direction of the principal across all phases of design and production
- SD and DD presentations
- Develop construction documents
- Assist with coordination of consultants
- RFI responses
- Construction site visits
- Attend and support client presentations on relevant projects
- Research and procure material samples
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- A professional degree in architecture
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Revit
- Adobe design suite
- Experience with construction or fabrication a plus
- Interest in building science
- Capacity to perform self-directed research
- Strong organizational skills
- High level of care and intentionality in work performed
- Authorized to work in USA
